Verbal Me - Communication App

Verbal Me is an iPhone augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) app. This text-to-speech app is designed to help children with autism, those who are non-verbal, and those with limited hand dexterity participate in the classroom. It features over 100 prebuilt pages that are filled with colorful buttons. When the child taps a button, the app will speak the button text aloud in either a boy's or girl's voice. The prebuilt pages include yes/no, alphabet, numbers, interactive speaking clock, skip counting, opposites, world map, US coins, bullying, getting dressed, using the bathroom, seasons, emotions, BINGO, body parts, and life cycle of a butterfly. Verbal Me also features 25 additional pages with editable buttons that the parent or teacher can customize with texts and pictures. Parents and teachers can switch pages by sliding one finger from the upper right corner of the screen to the lower left. The child can switch pages on his or her own if that option is turned on in the Settings menu. Students with limited hand dexterity can use a two-button Bluetooth switch to operate Verbal Me (the Bluetooth switch is not included).
