Writing Readiness Workbooks

The Writing Readiness Workbooks are designed for children with upper extremity disabilities to prepare them for handwriting with these great early developmental, tracing and visual perceptual activities. The child begins with tracing vertical lines, then horizontal, circles, etc. to complete the pictures. Then, they color them in and proceed to draw lines to match pictures, again following a developmental sequence of vertical, horizontal, circles, and diagonals. Other activities include drawing between the lines of "tunnels", and simple visual discrimination, dot to dot, mazes and figure ground activities. Large, clean illustrations with few distractions helps the child to focus on the pages.
