Foam Remote Holder

The Foam Remote Holder is a DIY project that holds a television remote steady for people with a neurological impairment, sensory loss, or poor coordination to allow them to accurately navigate television channels and all remote functions. It can be used as an exercise for an Occupational Therapy session. To make:

1. Carve a contoured closed-cell foam device for temporary use.  
2. A rubber band holds the remote in the cut-out area where embedded, without interfering with access to the push buttons.  
3. A small piece of non-skid matting is held in place on the underside with the help of the rubber band.  

The result is a TV remote and non-skid attached to contoured foam. The client can then place the remote on his hospital tray and pick it up as needed without losing it.
