The Community Kit, model 3605-5, and the Community Visual Overlay Kit, model 3599-7, are independent living skills tutorials and language and street sign traininging systems designed to teach students functioning at the Kindergarten through third grade levels to identify the persons, places, buildings, and signs found around the neighborhood. The program uses a magnetized board and metallic-backed figures coupled with visual overlays to illustrate vehicles, buildings, stores, restaurants, traffic safety signs and symbols, community workers, and more. The set also includes the figure of a woman using a walker. The complete kit includes a self-standing magnetized display board, 85 metallic-backed visuals and overlays, a teacher's guide, and erasable markers.
