Zoom-Ex is a portable low vision reading system designed for use by individuals with low vision. The device connects to an available USB port of an IBM or compatible computer (not included) to display magnified reading material on the monitor. Because the magnified lines wrap rather than run off the screen, the system does not require an X-Y table. Reading is accomplished by scrolling down the page. Once a page is scanned with Zoom-Ex, it stores the whole page in memory. It can be saved for future viewing or the magnified text can be printed for reading away from the computer. COMPATIBILITY: For use with IBM and compatible computers. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS: 1.8 gigaHertz (GHz) Celeron, 1.5 GHz Centrino, or equivalent AMD processor; minimum of 128 megabytes (MB) RAM; 30 MB free hard drive space; available high speed USB 2.0 port; optional second USB port for control pad;
Microsoft Windows 2000 or XP (Service Pack 1 or later).
