Lighthawk is a scanning symbol communicator designed for use by individuals with communication or speech disabilities. This single-switch scanning communicator has eight large squares, each surrounded by eight LEDs to provide visual feedback on which cell was scanned. The communicator has three levels with eight selection areas on each level, for a total of 24 possible messages. The first two levels have up to 7.5 seconds of digitized speech per message; on the third level, messages can be up to 15 seconds long. A single button is used for recording. POWER: Uses rechargeable NiCad batteries with charger included. DIMENSIONS: Each cell is 2 x 2 inches.
