The Anus Stimulator, model H72512, is designed for persons with spinal cord injuries and other paralyzing conditions to assist in regular bowel function by direct mechanical stimulation of the rectum. The stimulator can be used by individuals with flail hands and fingers. The device consists of a rectal probe made of Delrin plastic which reduces the shock normally experienced from cold metal devices. It has a polyethylene collar which is adjustable to shorten the depth of the probe. The adjustable holding clamp is made of plated steel to form a handle which has a Velcro closure strap with plated metal buckles to accommocate the hand of the user. The probe may be washed in hot water and chemically sterilized. DIMENSIONS: Overall length is 8 inches; probe is 3.5 inches long. WEIGHT: 3 ounces.
