The Juliet Pro 60 is a desktop braille printer designed for use by individuals who are blind or have low vision. This printer has a 40-character-wide embossing line and 60-characters-per-second speed for double-sided embossing (40-characters per second for single-sided printing). It can use either continuous tractor-feed paper or single sheets, hand-fed one at a time. A variety of different paper sizes and weights can be used. ET Speaks comes up talking automatically on the Juliet Pro 60, echoing commands entered on the keypad and reading all the embosser's status messages out loud. ET Speaks is DoubleTalk-compatible, so it can also read the screen of a computer to which it is attached and play audio files. The user can listen to ET Speaks through speakers or headphones using its external jack. Other standard features include regular and high-resolution Braille graphics, six- or eight-dot Braille, and a choice of Braille sizes, spacing, and layout. Sixteen menus allow the user to customize the embosser just once for each task and call all the settings into action with a few keystrokes. Up to 99 copies of one document can be printed automatically. The sound level is 68 decibels, and may vary with ambient conditions. COMPATIBILITY: For use with IBM and compatible personal computers with a parallel port. POWER: Uses 105-125 or 210-250 volts alternating current (AC). DIMENSIONS (HxLxW): 8.63 x 11.5 x 24.63 inches. WEIGHT: 51 pounds.
