To provide quality and compassionate inpatient psychiatric services at the lowest possible cost to adults within the region. North Valley Behavioral Health is committed to treating the patient with dignity and respect while assisting the patient to stabilize their mental health condition and improve their level of functioning. North Valley Behavioral Health will be a 16 bed, licensed Psychiatric Health Facility (PHF) located at 1535 Plumas Ct., in Yuba City, California. The Facility is a planned non-hospital acute care program licensed by the California Department of Mental Health under the California Code of Regulations, Title 22, Division 5. The Facility will serve adults who are experiencing a psychiatric emergency or other acute mental health problems. North Valley Behavioral Health will operate a Psychiatric Health Facility providing therapeutic and rehabilitation services in a non-hospital, 24 hour care, inpatient setting. Services will be provided to individuals experiencing an acute psychiatric episode or crisis, whose physical health needs can be met by an affiliated hospital or outpatient setting. The primary focus of the program is continuous diagnostic assessment of the individual's mental health status, stabilization and maintenance of the mental health condition, improvement of patient's functioning ability, and transitional planning with appropriate referrals to an appropriate post-hospitalization setting. It is intended for individuals who have a qualified mental health condition or crisis requiring temporary care in a safe and secure environment.
